Dr. Shiping Chen is a principal research scientist in CSIRO Data61. He also holds an conjoint A/Professor title with the University of New Suouth Wales (UNSW) and the University of Sydney through teaching and supervising PhD students. He has been working on distributed systems for over 20 years with focus on performance and security. He has published 150+ research papers in these research areas. He is actively involved in computing research community through publications, journal editorship and conference TPC services, including WWW, EDOC, ICSOC and IEEE ICWS/SCC/CLOUD. His current research interests include application security, blockchain and service-oriented trusted collaboration. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
